Check-in begins from 4pm at our beautifully appointed house in Greyton, where you’ll be greeted with a warm welcome. At 6pm, join us for a welcome drink in the garden, giving you time to relax and settle in. As the sun sets, the evening will unfold with a magical moonlight dinner, starting at 8pm. Prepared by Lori, the visionary founder of Maånskyñ, this multi-course meal is designed to celebrate the flavors of the region, all in the intimate ambiance of candlelight and nature. It's the perfect way to start your weekend of exploration and relaxation.
Your Saturday starts with freshly brewed coffee and croissants, followed by a light hike to a secluded waterfall for a refreshing swim. If the weather changes, we’ll head to Lismore Vineyards for a wine tasting. Lunch takes place at Pure Cafe and Deli, where owners Julie Graham and Jayne will share their inspiring journey. You'll also meet artist Marcel Herholdt, who will present an exclusive exhibition of his bold Afro-pop protest art. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of Greyton’s architectural highlights, including a visit to the beautifully renovated Wild Fig. End the day with a private braai at our house, paired with a wine tasting.
Our Sunday begins with a light breakfast at our house, before we head to the studio of renowned local artists Parker + Laird. Once there, the artists will share their creative journey and connection to the environment. Specializing in hand-carved sculptures, Parker + Laird use locally sourced timbers from alien trees like camphor, poplar, and jacaranda. These trees, pruned by councils and private tree surgeons, are central to their work, raising awareness about the impact of alien species on the Western Cape’s landscape. Afterward, the artists will lead us on a tour of their studio and outdoor space, showcasing their exquisite craftsmanship and thought-provoking pieces that bridge art and environmentalism.
